FAQ

How does this work?

Every two weeks we’ll post new artwork on Instagram, along with a benefiting organization and a donation goal. Donate directly to the benefiting organization in any amount over $5 and send us your receipt by Instagram DM or by emailing us. When we reach our goal we’ll celebrate by drawing a name from all the people who donated. One lucky person will win the artwork!

If I make more donations do I have a better chance at winning?

No. We put everyone’s name just once in the drawing – no matter how much or often you donate.

Who chooses the organization and fundraising goal?

The artist who donated their work.

Do I need to be present at the drawing to win?

This is all happening on the internet. We may do some Instagram live video drawings – but you don’t need to be watching to win. We will get in touch if your name is drawn.

I don’t have an Instagram account. Can I participate?

Yes, you can look at the Instagram page without an account. Look at what artwork and organizations are featured, donate directly to an organization and email us the receipt.

I’m the winner! How do I get my artwork?

You’ll get it in the mail from the artist or from us. It may take a few weeks after the drawing for it to arrive.

I see that some of the fundraisers have multiple artworks. How does this work?

We’ll do a separate drawing for each individual work from the group of people who donated. For example, if there are four paintings from one artist we will draw four names and each painting will go to a different person.

Do you make money off of this?

No, all money goes directly from donors to the benefiting organization. The artists donate their artwork and the mailing costs. We donate our time to keep this going.

Why are you doing this?

Artists get to use the wealth of our art and community to support amazing organizations, art gets into the hands of good people – it’s a win win win win win.

Where does your name come from?

The famous quote popularized by Martin Luther King Jr.: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

I’m an artist interested in donating work.

Great! DM us on Instagram or email us. We’re all set for several months worth of artists, but are always interested to hear from you.

I have more questions.

Feel free to email us.
